Health and Safety policy

The Health & Safety of our employees, customers, sub-contractors and members of the general public is a priority for Seafab Consultants Ltd and is equal in importance to productivity and quality in our markets.

In recognition of this, the management has committed itself to the following statement of policy:-

  • Seafab will, as a minimum, meet the requirements of all relevant Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
  • We are totally committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all our employees and others who may be affected by our activities. This will be achieved through consultation with others and by applying the principles of risk management to all our undertakings to reduce the level of risk as low as it reasonably practical.
  • We recognise that effective control of Health and Safety is achieved through co-operative effort at all levels within the organisation. To this end, Seafab will educate, train and motivate their employees to carry out their tasks to give benefit to the wider global community.
  • We believe totally, that by managing our business in this formalised manner, we shall through the attitudes, initiatives and motivation we all share, provide a system which will satisfy our business and meet our goal of continuous improvement.

Environmental Policy

Seafab recognises that the protection of the environment is an integral part of good business practice. We therefore have a duty to ensure that all work processes are conducted with due regard to safe guarding and environment.

In order to minimise or eliminate harmful releases to air, land or water we shall use the best available techniques, commensurate with cost. We will manage the environment impact of our work and as a minimum will comply with all legislation relevant to our activities.

Staff involvement in the continual improvement of environmental aspects is increased by training and the development of appropriate procedures. The International Standard ISO 14001 is used as a framework for continual improvement through the setting and pursuit of objectives and targets.

The Company will:-

  • Adopt a “Right First Time” approach to meeting customer’s requirements in order to reduce waste and cost.
  • Maintain our Duty of Care by using adequate storage and control arrangements for oils and waste.
  • Operate a selective purchasing policy and good house keeping to minimise waste resources including energy.
  • Practice the re-use or recycling of items in order to minimise disposal.
